Day 10: Navarrete to Azofra - 22.3 km – 7 hours (Total for Days 1-10: 187 km [122 miles])

Back at it. Full force. Almost.

Today's journey included new friends, shoe shopping, pool-sitting, a delicious communal dinner and a special impromptu one-man performance at the Plaza de Navarra. Here are some scenes from a great day on the Camino.

Sitting pool. Not big enough for a swim, but the perfect size for sitting. This Mom and daughter from Canada are part of a group of 8 people doing the Camino: Mom, dad, 3 young children, one adult child and his girlfriend, and grandpa. Mom and dad have done multiple Caminos, one for each of their children.

A beautiful woman in a beautiful store. Keaki and I went in together to get some fruit and wine. She spoke only Spanish. We chatted - in my basic Spanish - about the fruit, the best chocolate (she has many different varieties), the Camino. She was so kind to us despite the language barrier and sent us off with a great big smile and many good wishes.
